History and Vision of the University
Bahçeşehir University was established in Istanbul on January 18, 1998, by the Bahçeşehir Uğur Educational Foundation and was officially recognized under Law No. 3437. As one of Turkey’s leading foundation universities, Bahçeşehir University began offering education in the 1998–1999 academic year, aiming to provide education at international standards. Under the leadership of Rector Prof. Dr. Esra Hatipoğlu (since 2020), the university embraces the vision of being a “world-class university.” Its mission is to educate innovative, research-oriented individuals who contribute to global values. Education
Bahçeşehir University offers education through 9 faculties: Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering and Natural Sciences, Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, Communication, Law, Educational Sciences, Health Sciences, and Architecture and Design. The university also includes 3 institutes (Science, Social Sciences, Education), 1 conservatory, and 2 vocational schools. There are over 100 undergraduate and graduate programs. Dormitories
Bahçeşehir University offers dormitory facilities near its Beşiktaş and Göztepe campuses.
